So You Want Dental Implants?

Restorative Dentist Tulsa

First, let’s figure out what type of needs you have:

Wanting a single or a few more missing teeth replaced, but have most of your teeth? Read paragraph A.

Wearing partials or missing a lot of teeth and not sure if of your options? Read paragraph B.

Have few or no teeth currently wearing dentures or know you need all your teeth removed? Read paragraph C.

A. One tooth or a few…. Here are your options:  Call our office and make a free appointment to discuss your situation exactly with Dr. Southard who has decades of experience.  He will discuss permanent bridge or implant(s).  A free 3D cat scan will be taken to assess if you are a candidate for implants.  If implants are chosen, the dentist will use the best implants (Nobel Biocare) for your tooth replacement.  A custom abutment and a fused zirconium crown screw-retained will be used most likely which is the best available technology in dentistry.  No discount implant components or inferior lab work like you will might find in some dental offices without ever knowing it.  Cost is usually advertised at some dental offices that does not include ALL the cost.  We include EVERYTHING from walking in the front door to being completely finished and eating with your new tooth or teeth.  We also use the state of the art “GPS Guidance” tool called an X-guide that allows us to place the implant exactly where the doctor wants it instead of relying on “free hand” placement like some dentists have to do.   Average cost is $2500-3500 per single tooth depending upon complexity and other factors.  This includes the xrays, exams, implant, custom abutment, crown, screw, and X-guide placement.  Comparable cost at other dental offices range usually $4000-5500 per tooth.

B. Call our office and make a free appointment to discuss your situation with Dr. Southard who has decades of experience.  Your situation presents the most options for treatment and can take the longest to discuss.  Depending upon the health of the other teeth and the quantity/quality of the bone a treatment plan will be decided on by you and the dentist based on wants/needs/cost.   In some cases multiple single implants can be placed to replace single or span of teeth.  In other situations the implants can be used as snaps to keep a partial in place better without as many or no clasps.   A free 3D cat scan will be taken to assess if you are a candidate for implants.  If implants are chosen, the dentist will use the best implants (Nobel Biocare). Cost varies the most with this situation because of all the different methods and variability custom made to each unique person.  Ranges in cost are almost pointless to mention because it can range from a single implant to more than a dozen with bridges and partials employed as well.  ($2500- $25,000 per arch).

C. If you need all your teeth out or currently wearing a denture you have two major options.  Screwed in teeth or snap on teeth.  Everyone is in a difference situation, however, some patients have teeth that need to be removed, some do or don’t have enough bone, some have existing dentures that can be retro-fitted to implant supports and some need new dentures made from scratch.   Call our office and make a free appointment to discuss your situation exactly with Dr. Southard who has decades of experience.  .   A free 3D cat scan will be taken to assess if you are a candidate for implants.  If implants are chosen, the dentist will use the best implants (Nobel Biocare).  Cost is usually advertised at some dental offices that does not include ALL the cost.  We include EVERYTHING from walking in the front door to being completely finished and eating with your new teeth.  If you have a good denture that can be retro-fitted to implant supports typically the cost will range about $5000-8500 for snap-on style supports per arch (top or bottom).  If you fall into the lower end of the cost range because of ease of placement the cost is probably the lowest you will find based on the high quality of components we use at our office.  This includes 4-5 implants typically on the top and 3-4 implants on the bottom for only fraction of the cost of comparable products at most dental offices.  The other option but typically more costly is screwed in denture hybrids or full zirconium style bridges.  These teeth do NOT come in and out except when the dentist takes them out in the dental office for cleaning or repair.   Cost is usually in the range of $18,000-$25,000 per arch or can be higher depending on complexity and the usage of specialists in the area for more complex surgical situations.

No matter what your situation call us and get your first or second opinion at NO cost to you. We can cater a dental plan to your needs, desires and budget and hopefully save you thousands of dollars in the process.
